From Breitbart: An illegal alien is accused of killing St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) Officer David Lee, a 44-year-old husband and father and an 18-year veteran of the force, in a drunk driving crash.
Ramon Arnaldo Chavez-Rodriguez, a 24-year-old illegal alien from Honduras, has been arrested and charged with drunk driving causing a death, exceeding the speed limit, and driving without a license.
On September 22, Chavez-Rodriguez was allegedly speeding when he lost control of his vehicle. At the time, Lee had been responding to a one-car crash alongside the highway when Chavez-Rodriguez’s vehicle struck him and threw him several feet away from the crash, police allege.
Lee was rushed to the St. Louis University Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
According to police, Chavez-Rodriguez was driving 71 mph—16 mph over the speed limit – when he struck Officer Lee, who died hours later. A blood test two hours after the crashed registered Chavez-Rodriguez’s blood alcohol level at 0.10 percent. He is being held without bond in a St. Louis jail.
Chavez-Rodriguez already had a criminal record in the United States. The Washington Free Beacon shared the following:
Chavez-Rodriguez was on a five-year probation for a 2020 felony domestic assault conviction and DWI case in St. Charles County, Mo., court records reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon showed. He broke through the door of the home he shared with a woman, then strangled, punched, and kicked her, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. His probation prohibited Chavez-Rodriguez from both drinking and driving and barred him from entering establishments where alcohol was the main item for sale.

Lee’s wife, Tonya, said in an interview that she and David met right after high school. They had been together for 26 years, and were married for 19 years.
