Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro during an on-stage outburst, causing crew members to drag him off and abruptly end the band’s Boston concert on Friday night, according to a New York Post report.
Farrell, performing “Ocean Size,” angrily shouted at the crowd and screamed into the microphone before the incident. He then screamed at guitarist Dave Navarro and shoved him during a performance. The two briefly confronted each other, with Navarro calmly holding Farrell back with his right arm.
Farrell threw two elbow jabs at Navarro before crew members and bassist Eric Avery intervened, telling him to “stop.” As the lights dimmed, more punches were thrown as Farrell was escorted offstage.
The remaining band members—Navarro, Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins—came forward to warmly farewell the crowd, effectively canceling the rest of their allotted performance time.
