A newly unearthed 1995 ABC video profile of former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown features Kamala Harris, her then-boyfriend, attending a party with him.
In the video, a reporter asks Harris: “Are you his daughter?”
“No, I’m not,” responds Harris.

A clip from a 1995 “PrimeTime Live” profile of Willie Brown circulated on “X” Tuesday, ahead of the first presidential debate between Trump and Harris, who has faced accusations of benefiting from her relationship with Brown, 30 years her senior.
The Daily Wire obtained the full segment, which aired before Brown became mayor, describing him as one of the most powerful Black politicians in America. The segment ends with Brown joking about fixing a parking ticket and Diane Sawyer noting his upcoming inauguration on January 8, 1996.
Between 1994 and 1995, Willie Brown, then 60 and speaker of the California State Assembly, had an affair with 29-year-old Kamala Harris, an Alameda County assistant district attorney, while still legally married. Although Brown and his wife were reportedly separated, the affair ended after Brown appointed Harris to two state commissions, with salaries of $97,088 and $72,000, according to the Los Angeles Times. This has led figures like Megyn Kelly to suggest Harris “slept her way” into politics.
