Another illegal alien gang member from Venezuela has been arrested for a violent crime, this time in a rural Wisconsin town.

Alejandro Jose Coronel Zarate, 26 of Venezuela, a suspected member of the violent “Tren de Aragua” Venequelan gang, was arrested Thursday for physically and sexually assaulting a woman and hurting a child.

The incident happened in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, a rural community of about 5,000 people.

Police Chief Kyle Teynor of the Prairie du Chien Police Department shared the following details in a Facebook post on Friday:

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Prairie du Chien Police Department responded to the 300 block of East Wells Street for a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, officers received information that a male suspect had been physically and sexually violent towards an adult female. A female juvenile was also located and found to have been injured during the physical altercation that took place. As a result of the investigation, the male suspect was arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail.

The suspect was identified as, Alejandro Jose Coronel Zarate, 26 of Venezuela. He was booked into jail for Domestic Disorderly Conduct, two counts of Domestic Battery, Strangulation/Suffocation, Physical Abuse to a Child, Disorderly Conduct and two counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault. Coronel Zarate also had warrants through Dane County, WI for Strangulation/Suffocation, False Imprisonment, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct.

Additionally, Coronel Zarate is suspected of having an affiliation with a known violent transnational criminal organization known as “Tren de Aragua”, who are known for a variety of criminal activities, such as homicide, abduction, extortion, drug trafficking, arms/weapons trafficking, human smuggling, and human trafficking (according to the National Gang Intelligence Center & the Department of Homeland Security). The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was notified, and a detainer has been placed on Coronel Zarate, as he is not a U.S. Citizen.

“Mr. Coronel Zarate was brought to Prairie du Chien from the Dane County area. The victims in this case knew Mr. Coronel Zarate, this was not a random event. This incident highlights the need to be aware of the dangers that affiliates of these transnational criminal organizations pose to our communities. Violence towards others, no matter the circumstances, cannot be tolerated in our community. Our agency remains committed to holding violent actors accountable for their criminal offences.”

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin commented on the story, writing, “Police in Prairie du Chien, a small city in rural Wisconsin w/ a population of just 5,400, announce the arrest of a suspected Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang member who allegedly violently and sexually attacked a woman & injured a juvenile in the process. ICE now involved.”

Former ICE agent John Fabbricatore of Colorado, who is a Republican candidate for U.S. Congress, wrote, “When do you admit you have a problem? The left wants you to believe it is when the house is fully engulfed in flames. I say you put the fire out at the first spark and make sure it never catches!”

The Trump War Room also reacted in outrage to the report, writing, “Venezuelan gangs are taking over — the latest being Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. THIS is Kamala’s America, where illegals come first and U.S. citizens are forgotten. President Trump will SEND THEM BACK.”

Majority of deadly TdA gang members entered during Biden-Harris administration

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin announced on Friday: “The overwhelming majority of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang members ICE has given us info on first crossed illegally into Texas in ’22 & ’23, then were released into the US by the Biden admin. The same Biden admin that repeatedly sued TX for trying to secure its own border.”

Lt. Chris Olivarez, a spokesperson with the Texas Department of Public Safety, added:

Tren de Aragua (TDA) remains the single largest threat to public safety & national security as the gang has been able to infiltrate the US through the southern border. They have been involved in numerous crimes throughout the country, from thefts, robberies, assaults, sex crimes, extortion, and murder.

Some argue TDA accounts for a small percentage of violent crimes but the fact is that there should be ZERO crimes against the public as this gang should not have been able to expand their presence in the US as a result of catch & release policies. One victim is too many, one life lost at the hands of this criminal gang is inexcusable.

The State of Texas through Gov. @GregAbbott_TX’s Operation Lone Star will not back down & remain committed to combating TDA & rid its presence in the Lone Star State. We must ensure public safety, not just for fellow Texans, but for the Nation. #TexasHoldTheLine
