Ephesians 4:29
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
[From the New International Version]
“Unwholesome talk” refers to words that can damage relationships or undermine the well-being of others. It’s best to stand above the noise by not partaking in it.
Instead, focus on speaking in ways that are constructive. This involves your words to encourage and uplift.
The verse emphasizes the importance of using language in a positive and edifying manner, aiming to enhance the lives of others. It encourages mindful and purposeful communication.
