2 Corinthians 6:10
Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
[From the New International Version]
Life can be filled with sorrow due to hardships and suffering. However, despite these sorrows, an underlying joy comes from faith in Christ, the hope of salvation, and the presence of God. This joy transcends the immediate struggles.
You don’t always need money to make others feel rich with your presence. In this verse, the notion that you can enrich someone spiritually rather than financially is a greater reward.
And by lacking material possessions, one understands that he has everything that truly matters when he believes in Christ. The spiritual connection to God gives a sense of fullness and satisfaction that transcends worldly wealth.
