Fulton County Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis’ daughter was recently caught driving without a license… and Willis was caught on body cam with the (former?) boyfriend she said she no longer had.
From the New York Post: Embattled District Attorney Fani Willis showed up to the scene of her daughter’s recent arrest with prosecutor lover Nathan Wade, long after the pair said they’d ended their controversial affair, newly released bodycam footage shows.
The Fulton County, Georgia DA was seen with ex-Trump prosecutor Wade after her pregnant daughter Kinaya Willis, 25, was pulled over late last month for driving while using a cell phone, and then arrested for driving on a suspended license, according to the footage obtained by The Post.
The cops asked if Willis, 52, and Wade, 51, were Kinaya’s parents — but the powerful DA told them her high-profile lover was “just a friend.”
The pair — who came under fire for their romance while prosecuting former President Donald Trump for election interference in the Peach State — have both separately testified that the affair ended last year.
The body cam footage from the Tyrone Police Department first shows officers apprehending Kinaya and speaking with her 26-year-old sister, Nia.
When questioned about why she was on the phone while driving, Kinaya told the officers it was because her mom was calling her about her pregnancy. She also claimed she was “unaware” her driver’s license had been revoked since May 13.
Kinaya was taken to the Fayette County Jail. Therefore, someone needed to drive her silver Nissan Altima home. Nia is heard saying she isn’t comfortable driving it, as “I haven’t driven in years.”
Willis ended up driving her daughter’s car away, while Wade hopped back into the Ford SUV they arrived in.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, Kinaya was later released from jail and ordered to attend the Town of Tyrone Municipal Court for an October 24 arraignment.
