From Fox News: House Republicans are claiming vindication after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted his company was pressured by the Biden-Harris administration to “censor certain COVID-19 content” during the pandemic.

Zuckerberg wrote to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, earlier this week that he wished he and his company had been more outspoken about government censorship concerns in 2021.

“Ultimately, it was our decision whether or not to take content down, and we own our decisions, including COVID-19-related changes we made to our enforcement in the wake of this pressure,” the billionaire Facebook founder said. “I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it.”

The House Judiciary GOP announced Monday:

Mark Zuckerberg just admitted three things:
1. Biden-Harris Admin “pressured” Facebook to censor Americans.
2. Facebook censored Americans.
3. Facebook throttled the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Big win for free speech.

Rep. Richard Hudson, R-N.C., chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) wrote, “For too long, the Harris-Biden admin pressured social media companies to censor Americans’ views online. This was a deliberate abuse of power to stifle free speech.”

“@HouseGOP passed legislation to protect #1A and stop Big Bureaucrats from encroaching on our freedoms.”

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) declared, “The @HouseGOP has long known the Harris-Biden administration pressured Facebook to censor Americans. Mark Zuckerberg’s letter to @JudiciaryGOP leaves no room for doubt: this was an intentional assault on our First Amendment rights. This abuse of power must end now.”

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) said, “Zuckerberg admitted that the Biden-Harris regime pressured him to censor conservative voices. There must be accountability within the federal government.”

“Facebook may have changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential race. Four years later, we get a letter saying “sorry,”” wrote Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) in disgust.

“Who else wants the 2020 presidential election back? Can Zuckerberg give us a redo?” added Lee.

Trump’s running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), wrote, “This is a massive story. Kamala Harris’s administration encouraged Facebook to censor information about Donald Trump. President Trump will fight for your ability to speak your mind. Kamala Harris would rather shut you up than persuade you. Some leader.”

Former Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) wrote, “Please forward to every media outlet and outraged leftist who were bewildered that we DARE suggest that Big Tech overreach is real. Meta and the Democratic Party has shown that they silenced potentially millions of voices. Which way will the sheep go now?”

John LeFevre pointed out the elephant in the room:

The Zuckerberg story was big: The White House pressured Meta to illegally censor factual information about COVID and Hunter’s laptop.

Even bigger: The person responsible for this was former Director of Digital Strategy
@Rob_Flaherty. He’s now Kamala’s Deputy Campaign Manager.

Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.) also reacted to the report, writing on X, “Wow. If it wasn’t glaringly obvious enough already (it was), Zuckerberg is now coming clean and admitting that Facebook censored information at the request of the Biden-Harris WH. It’s time to finally hold Big Tech accountable for their blatant censorship of conservatives.”

Former congressional candidate Robby Starbuck asked, “Has he answered for his AI claiming that I was arrested on January 6th for entering the Capitol? I’ve never been arrested and wasn’t even in DC that day. Where’s the accountability @finkd?”
