Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s family, who are hard-core Democrats, had already voiced their outrage earlier when he ran for president against Joe Biden as an Independent.
Now, the family is literally fuming after Kennedy has announced his decision to join forces with the Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump, in an effort to defeat Democrat nominee Kamala Harris.
Kerry Kennedy, a sister to RFK Jr, first released a statement Friday and declared, “I am sharing a personal statement that my family and I have made in response to my brother’s announcement.” The statement reads:
“We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future defined by individual freedom, economic promise and national pride. We believe in Harris and Walz. Our bother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and family hold dear.It is a sad ending to a sad story.”

Kerry Kennedy then took it a step farther on Sunday and Monday, as she declared in multiple interviews that she is “disavowing” her brother.
Speaking to MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, she declared, “I’m outraged and disgusted by my brother’s gaudy and obscene embrace of Donald Trump, and I completely disavow and separate and dissociate myself from Robert Kennedy Jr. and his flagrant and inexplicable effort to desecrate and trample and set fire to my father’s memory.”
Kerry Kennedy is REALLY mad…

“Personally, I completely disavow and separate and disassociate myself from my brother Bobby Kennedy and his flagrant and inexplicable effort to desecrate and trample and set fire to daddy’s memory … The Kennedy family endorses Harris,” she also fumed in an interview with MSNBC’s Joy Reid.
“I love Bobby and I have tremendous respect for the work that he’s done in the past,” she continued. “But on this, he’s wrong. On this, it’s really important for people to understand that the Kennedy family endorses Harris.”
Kerry Kennedy raged on, saying, “If my dad were alive today he would detest almost everything about Donald Trump. His lying, his selfishness, his racism, his cynicism, hatred, fascist sympathies, deliberate misinformation about vaccines, criminal felony convictions, rape of E. Jean Carrol, his contempt for the poor and suffering, for ethics [and] for democracy,”

Fox News host Tammy Bruce fired back to the Kennedy family in a scorching statement:
An open letter to Kerry Kennedy:
You people are awful. Despite your family’s checkered past and horrible behavior of so many of the men, Americans have stood with you out of loyalty, sentimentality, and too often, grief. Despite the questionable establishment of your family’s wealth, the treatment of Marilyn Monroe, the general womanizing, the abandonment of Mary Jo Kopechne to her death, allegations of rape, one could go on and on, but the point is your family has stayed loyal and protective of family members who have done the most appalling of things.
But the moment one of your own acts on his conscience for this country you attempt to throw him to the wolves and publicly condemn him. Never a word for the trail of abused or abandoned women left behind by a Kennedy, but because one of your men supports Trump in an effort to make the lives of Americans better, that alone is beyond the pale.
In your ugly treatment of your brother you reveal the rot that has broken the hearts of the American people so many times over the years. Beyond that, the economic destruction of American families is something your family would never truly understand. You are not touched by the worry about having enough gas to get to work, or whether or not you can afford eggs this week, if you’ll be safe walking your own neighborhood, or if your child will be safe in their urban public school or even if they will know how to read and write while collecting their diploma.
You keep doing civil rights work and public service virtue signaling. But in the meantime, make a pledge to not keep doing damage as Americans are simply looking for a way to reclaim their own futures, the safety of their families, and knowing that maybe, just maybe, they can leave their children a little better off w a future they can rely on.
The condition of this country should shock everyone, even if their name is Kennedy. We know it at least shocks one of you who, like us, has had enough of the fear and hopelessness assigned to us for generations.
Americans are happy to see Bobby on our side as we refuse to comply and will not go gentle into the catastrophes to which we are expected to succumb. Instead, with Trump and all who join us, we will fight, fight, fight!

Other conservatives are also slamming Kerry Kennedy and her siblings for throwing their brother under the bus:
What a vile statement from you and your family. On the other hand, your brother’s speech was inspirational.

You’re a horrible sister.

Throwing your brother under the bus is an indictment of your own character. His courage to defy you reveals what a remarkable man he is.

Thank you for exposing yourself. Your brother is a hero. You are quite the opposite.
— Spitfire (@DogRightGirl) August 23, 2024
Your bother is asking what he can do for the country.
You are focused on what the country can do for you.
So yes, your dad would absolutely be proud of his son.
— Rep. Lauren Boebert (@RepBoebert) August 23, 2024
The fact that you’re betraying your own brother speaks volumes about your character. Your father and uncle would be rolling in their graves if they saw what you’ve become.

You’re betraying your own Family to implement Communism.
Shame on you.— Liz Churchill (@liz_churchill10) August 23, 2024
I have a sister, and she’d never stoop this low over politics. You are a sad excuse for a woman. Shame on you.

You know who publicly castigates family because of disagreement over politics?
The scum of the earth.
Congrats.

Y’all are all spineless cowards
Your brother is Patriot for putting his country first 🇺🇸
