A landmark protest occurred in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where traditionally divided Catholic and Protestant communities united in opposition to mass immigration and implementation of migrant relocation.
The demonstration began at Belfast City Hall and progressed towards the Belfast Islamic Centre, under the watchful eye of the police, to maintain order and prevent any potential clashes. The protest drew Irish and British nationalists, who stood together despite their historical differences.
Tensions escalated as fireworks were reportedly thrown, prompting police intervention to separate the protesters from counter-protesters and restore order.
