Liberals have exploded in outrage over a comment former President Donald Trump made Wednesday about Kamala Harris and her racial identity.
Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, participated in a discussion at the National Association of Black Journalists’ Annual Convention and Career Fair on Wednesday in Chicago, Illinois.
The discussion was moderated by three Black journalists: ABC News’s Rachel Scott, Fox News’s Harris Faulkner, and Semafor’s Kadia Goba.
As it was later described, Trump walked into the “lion’s den” by agreeing to participate in the discussion, as the two liberal journalists on the panel, Scott and Goba, were less than friendly.
Scott viciously attacked Trump, and at one point slammed him over Republican comments that Kamala Harris was a “DEI hire.”
“Do you believe Kamala Harris was only on the ticket because she is a Black woman?” Scott demanded.
Trump said he has known of Harris a long time and in the past she only promoted herself as being of Indian heritage.
“I didn’t know know she was black, until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black…. So is she Indian or is she Black? I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t, because she was Indian all the way and then all of a sudden she made a turn and she went, she became a Black person,” Trump said.

The Washington Examiner explained: Harris is the daughter of a Jamaican father and an Indian mother, who raised her as a single mother after her parents separated when she was 7 years old.
Well, sure enough, Trump was RIGHT! Below is a video from 2019 when Harris presented herself as Indian.

Journalist Laura Loomer announced:

Donald Trump is correct. Kamala Harris is NOT black and never has been.
She is also the descendent of slave owners. Kamala Harris is the daughter of Donald J Harris, who was born in Jamaica, and Shyamala Gopalan Harris from India.
Kamala Harris’s four-times-paternal-great-grandfather is a guy named Hamilton Brown . He was born in Co Antrim in 1776, the same year of the US Declaration of Independence. Brown emigrated to Jamaica when it was a British colony, and once he arrived, he became an avid slave owner on the sugar plantations in Jamaica.
Hamilton Brown opposed the abolition of slavery in the British Empire and promoted slavery and slave ownership till the day he died.

In another post, Loomer added, “I have obtained a copy of Kamala Harris’s BIRTH CERTIFICATE! .@KamalaHarris’s mother even listed herself as “Caucasian”. Her father never said he is black or African. The Birth Certificate is absolute proof that @KamalaHarris is lying about being black. I have the receipts. See below!”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre raged against Trump’s comment.
“What you just read out to me is repulsive, it’s insulting, and, you know, no one has any right to tell someone who they are, how they identify. That is no one’s right. It is someone’s own decisions,” Jean-Pierre fumed. “I’ll add this. Only she can speak to her experience. Only she can speak to what it’s like. She’s the only person that can do that.”

The video clip is already going viral on social media, and the left is all in a rage.

However, last week, Fox News analyst Brit Hume wrote, “Of course Kamala Harris was a DEI choice. Biden made her that when he promised to name a woman as his running mate. Not to mention when he said his is the most diverse administration in history “and it starts at the top with the vice president.””
