Kamala Harris, who was anointed as the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee, has released a statement in response to the violent rioting in Washington, D.C. during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit this week.

On Tuesday, pro-Palestine and pro-Hamas protesters, reportedly led by the Palestine Youth Movement group in Washington, D.C., managed to get inside the Watergate Hotel where Netanyahu was staying and released mealworms and maggots on the banquet tables. They also projected anti-Netanyahu messages on the outside of the hotel, and Netanyahu was reportedly forced to move out of the hotel Tuesday night for his own safety.

On Wednesday, the mob of thousands of protesters ramped up the chaos, blocking streets in DC and vandalizing statues and property.  They ripped down the American flags outside Union Station and replaced them with Palestinian flags, then burned the American flags and effigies of Netanyahu, while chanting “Burn that sh*t!” and “Allah Akbar!”

The mob also fought against police, and video footage of one Capitol Police officer being dragged by a protester is prompting outrage.

Without saying anything about the attacks against police, Harris just released the following statement around noon on Thursday:

Yesterday, at Union Station in Washington, D.C., we saw despicable acts by unpatriotic protesters and dangerous hate-fueled rhetoric.

I condemn any individuals associating with the brutal terrorist organization Hamas, which has vowed to annihilate the State of Israel and kill Jews. Pro-Hamas graffiti and rhetoric is abhorrent and we must not tolerate it in our nation.

I condemn the burning of the American flag. That flag is a symbol of our highest ideals as a nation and represents the promise of America. It should never be desecrated in that way.

I support the right to peacefully protest, but let’s be clear: Antisemitism, hate and violence of any kind have no place in our nation.

Below are just a view of the disgusting and violent scenes that took place in DC this week:

Former police officer Brandon Tatum asked if this is going to get the same attention as the January 6, 2021 protest?
