Anti-Israel demonstrators gathered in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Congress, leading to chaotic scenes.
A masked protester was seen carrying a flag resembling that of Hamas, and chants of “Allahu Akbar” were heard. At Union Station, agitators burned an American flag, vandalized a Christopher Columbus statue with “Hamas is coming,” and replaced an American flag with a Palestinian one.
A Jewish man who expressed his offense was chased, insulted, and called “Hitler” by protesters. He and a woman sought refuge in a building. A reporter was told they targeted the man because he was White and Jewish.
We want to ask you, the reader: should the protesters in D.C. be imprisoned for life for their actions? Answer in the poll below and comment if you believe this was a protest or attempted insurrection of the capital.
