VIDEOS: Protesters riot outside Capitol, burn US flags, vandalize statues, while Netanyahu torches them in powerful speech to Congress

While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was delivering an address to a joint session of Congress Wednesday afternoon, thousands of pro-Palestine protesters were taking over the streets of Washington, D.C. in a massive uprising.

According to the Capitol Police, the mob became violent, and police had to use pepper spray to control them.

The protesters not only caused havoc in the streets, but ripped down the American flags outside Union Station and replaced them with Palestinian flags. They then burned the American flags and effigies of Netanyahu.

The mob circled around the burning American flag and chanted, “Burn that sh*t!” and “Allah Akbar!”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) reacted in outrage, writing, “It’s no surprise the pro-Hamas mobs burn American flags. They hate America as much as they hate Israel. Shame on VP Harris for catering to these antisemites.”

In a series of social media posts, the U.S. Capitol Police announced:

Part of the crowd has started to become violent at First Street and Constitution Avenue, NW. The crowd failed to obey our order to move back from our police line. We are deploying pepper spray towards anyone trying to break the law and cross that line.

Five people in the House Gallery just disrupted the Address during the Joint Meeting. All of them were immediately removed from the Gallery and arrested. Disrupting the Congress and demonstrating in the Congressional Buildings is against the law.

Our officers just reported that the final number of arrests in the House Galleries was a total of six people for D.C. Code §10-503.16(b)(2), Unlawful Conduct.

No flags under our protection have been removed or vandalized. Our officers will enforce the law if anyone attempts to remove a flag in USCP jurisdiction. To clear up inaccurate reporting — Union Station, where the American flag was removed, is not on U.S. Capitol Grounds.

The pro-Palestinian mob has also vandalized multiple statues in D.C.

Dozens of Democrats boycotted the speech, but Palestinian-American Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), wearing a Palestinian scarf (keffiyeh) around her neck, did attend – while holding up a sign that said “war criminal” on one side and “guilty of genocide” on the other side.

Meanwhile, inside the Capitol, Netanyahu delivered a powerful and fiery speech, as he tore into the anti-Israel protesters and said they should be ashamed of themselves.  He also pointed out their gross lack of understanding of the situation.

“Many anti-Israel protesters, many choose to stand with evil, they stand with Hamas, they stand with rapists and murderers,” he warned.

“I have a message for these protesters. When the tyrants of Tehran who hang gays from cranes and m*rder women for not covering their hair are praising, promoting and funding you- you have officially become Irans useful idiots,” Netanyahu said.

“Some of these protesters hold up signs proclaiming ‘Gays for Gaza’. They might as well hold up signs saying ‘Chickens for KFC!'” he declared.

Netanyahu is scheduled to hold meetings on Thursday with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, as well as meetings with the top four leaders in Congress and the Senate.

On Friday, he is scheduled to travel to Mar-a-Lago in Florida to meet with former President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu also met with former vice president Mike Pence ahead o his speech on Wednesday.
