While testifying before the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday morning, FBI Director Christopher Way made a number of stunning revelations regarding Trump rally shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Wray admitted that one person affiliated with the FBI is under investigation for ‘inappropriate’ Trump post.

Fox News reported that Wray was asked by Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, “Have any FBI agents texted, emailed, or expressed disappointment that Trump survived the assassination attempt, or otherwise editorialized about the assassination attempt?”

“I don’t know about any agents. There have been at least two instances, I think, or one instance of an individual, who posted something that I consider outrageous and totally inappropriate and unacceptable. And that individual has been referred to our inspection division, which is the arm, our sort of internal affairs investigatory arm that does the disciplinary process,” Wray responded.

Trump shooter was flying a drone about 200 yards from the stage where Trump spoke about TWO HOURS before the rally

From Breitbart: Wray told the House Judiciary Committee that the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, flew the drone over the area as late as around 3:50 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the day of the shooting. Trump was originally scheduled to begin speaking at 5 p.m.

Wray said the drone was not flown over the stage but approximately 200 yards away from the stage. He added that Crooks may have been live-streaming video from the drone.

Days prior to the shooting, Crooks conducted online research about the JFK assassination

From CBS News: Wray told lawmakers that the FBI conducted an analysis of a laptop tied to the shooter and found that on July 6, one week before the Butler rally, he conducted a Google search for “how far away was Oswald from Kennedy,” a reference to Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

“That’s a search that obviously is significant in terms of his state of mind,” he said.

That same day he registered for Trump’s rally in Butler, Wray said.

Other revelations:

  • Crooks’ AR-style rifle had a collapsible stock, which “could explain why it might’ve been less easy for people to observe.”
  • Crooks purchased a ladder before the shooting, which was about 5 feet tall. However, the ladder was not found at the site of the shooting, leaving FBI uncertain how he ultimately got onto the roof of the building.
  • Investigators struggled to finally gain access to Crooks’ phone, and discovered he was using encrypted messaging apps to communicate.
  • FBI recovered THREE explosive devices with remote detonators from Crooks
  • Crooks had explosive transmitter with him on roof
  • Investigators recovered eight cartridges on the roof
