Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear criticized Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance during an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.
Beshear called Vance a “phony” and lacking conviction, also remarking on Vance’s running mate having 34 convictions.
He stated, “JD Vance doesn’t stand for anything. He’s a phony who changes his positions based on what he thinks will benefit him politically.” Beshear went further by referencing Vance’s running mate, saying, “It’s ironic that JD Vance, who can’t seem to hold a consistent belief, is running alongside someone with 34 convictions.”

“What was weird was him joking about racism today and then talking about diet mountain dew, who drinks diet Mountain Dew? But it all seriousness he ain’t from here. He is not from Kentucky.” @Acyn pic.twitter.com/a9FNmciC8i
