1) JD Vance Sounds Alarm on China Controlling U.S. Pharmaceutical Supply: ‘Let’s Make Our Own Stuff’

From Breitbart: Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) sounded the alarm on China making most of the pharmaceuticals used in the United States during a speech in his hometown of Middletown, Ohio.

“I happen to believe in this crazy thing that we ought to make more of our own stuff in this country, and I know President Trump agrees,” Vance said:

Think about this, do you know where 95 percent of the ibuprofen, advil … you know where it’s manufactured? China. You know where the gross majority of the antibiotics that we put into the bodies of our children come from? China. Now, I don’t know if you were alive the past five years but do you remember maybe why we shouldn’t trust the Chinese attitude toward public health? [Emphasis added]

Vance said the United States should not rely on China for even the most minuscule goods, let alone pharmaceuticals, calling again for an American manufacturing renaissance.

 

2) Montel Williams endorses former flame Kamala Harris for president (sort of)

From New York Post: Talk show host Montel Williams gave a somewhat unclear endorsement for Vice President Kamala Harris — despite briefly dating her over two decades ago.

Williams, 68, initially voiced his support for Wes Moore to lead the Democratic presidential ticket after Joe Biden stepped down Sunday, saying he’d be “ready to campaign” if the Maryland governor was on the ballot.

“I’ve watched @GovWesMoore lead my home state of Maryland, and I know leadership when I see it,” Williams wrote in a post on X Monday morning.

After receiving an apparent deluge of reactions from the post Williams appeared to clarify his comments, hours later retweeting a post from Gov. Moore endorsing Harris

 

3) Netanyahu arrives; no leaders greet him

From Laura Loomer via X/Twitter: Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife Sara just arrived in Washington DC. Neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris were there to greet him. They didn’t even give Netanyahu & Israel a proper diplomatic welcome as an ally to the United States. Disgraceful.

 

4) CNN’s John King Reported There Could Be ‘Risks’ Of Adding Jewish Candidate To Dem Ticket

From Daily Caller: CNN’s John King said Sunday evening there could be possible “risks” of adding Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro to a party ticket with Vice President Kamala Harris after notably stating he is Jewish.

King appeared on the network to discuss President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw his reelection bid and endorse Harris as the party’s nominee. While Harris has yet to officially be placed in the position, endorsements and vice president options for her ticket have begun to pile.

 

5) Elon Musk says trans son is “dead”

“It happened to one of my older boys, where I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier. I was told Xavier might commit suicide. So, I was tricked into doing this. You know, it wasn’t explained to me that puberty blockers are actually just sterilization drugs. I lost my son, essentially. You know, they call it deadnaming for a reason. The reason it’s called deadnaming is because your son is dead. So my son Xavier is dead, killed by the woke mind-virus. So I vowed to destroy the woke mind-virus after that.”

6) 2nd floor window of assassin’s shooting spot (video)

From Collin Rugg via X/Twitter: Rep. Eli Crane shares video taken from a 2nd-floor window Secret Service allegedly had access to that overlooked the roof Thomas Crooks shot from. Crane traveled to Pennsylvania to see the crime scene for himself. “This video was taken from one of the windows the Secret Service had access to, overlooking the entire roof. Makes you wonder how on earth they allowed the shooter to access the roof, let alone crawl up it & fire several shots.” Crane also climbed on top of the roof where Crooks shot from, revealing just how close he was able to get to Trump.

 

7) Florida local reveals toll from high cost of living: ‘It doesn’t make sense anymore’

From Fox Business: The high cost of living is taking its toll on Americans, and Florida is no exception.

“I can tell you it’s a lot of money,” Fox News’ Miami-based correspondent Danamarie McNicholl told “Varney & Co.” host Stuart Varney during her report on Friday, describing what it would cost to rent an apartment in North Bay Village.

McNicholl noted that the rent of the apartment complex near Miami where she’d been reporting increased nearly 100 percent in four years. According to a report from the National Low Income Housing Coalition, a worker in Florida making minimum wage at an hourly rate of $12 would need to work 98 hours per week to afford a one-bedroom rental home at a fair market rate.

One millennial Floridian, George Chijioke, explained that he earns more than minimum wage, but told FOX Business he still needs to supplement his income by driving for Lyft and tutoring students to keep up with the high costs.

 

8) Aaron Rodgers Scoffs at Biden’s Golf Chances Against Trump: ‘He Couldn’t Even Walk off the Stage’

From Breitbart: New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers took aim at Joe Biden’s presidential debate, claiming he is an epic golfer.

Appearing on the Pardon My Take podcast, Rodgers riffed on Biden’s obvious infirmities in the wake of the president’s boastful proclamations about his golf game in the one presidential debate that occurred this year.

During the June debate, Biden claimed that he had a “six handicap”—which has never been true. Seconds later, he changed that to an eight handicap—also not likely true. Trump noted that he has won several championship golf tournaments, so that is evidence that he is physically fit.

9) Brittney Griner on playing for Team USA after kneeling during anthem, Russian imprisonment: ‘Means everything’

From Fox News: Brittney Griner is no stranger to wearing Team USA across her basketball jersey in the Olympics, but a more reflective player heads to Paris considering what she’s been through since the 2020 Toyko Games.

Griner, a two-time gold medalist for the U.S., was in Russian prison two years ago after being sentenced to nine years in jail for drug possession and smuggling after the Federal Customs Service found her traveling with vape cartridges containing less than a gram of hash oil, which is illegal in Russia.

Griner would later be set free in a high-profile prisoner exchange that sent Viktor Bout, nicknamed the “Merchant of Death,” who was serving a 25-year federal sentence on charges of conspiracy to kill American citizens and officials, among others.

 

10) ‘Simpsons’ Writer Celebrates Another Prediction Now That Kamala Harris Is Running

From Daily Wire: “The Simpsons” writer Al Jean celebrated that the popular animated show had once again made an accurate prediction now that Vice President Kamala Harris is running for president.

President Joe Biden announced on Sunday on X that he was withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race and endorsing Harris for president. Following the news, screenwriter for the show, Al Jean, reacted to the news, the New York Post reported.

“@TheSimpsons ‘prediction’ I’m proud to be a part of,” he wrote on X. His post included a screenshot of an image from a “Simpsons” episode in 2000, showing Lisa Simpson being sworn in as the first female president. She was wearing the same purple jacket and string of pearls that Harris wore during Biden’s inauguration ceremony in 2021.
