From the Daily Mail: A teenage girl was almost abducted at gunpoint in broad daylight near an elementary school in South Los Angeles on Tuesday.
A man tried to kidnap a 15-year-old girl who managed to perform an incredible act of bravery as she fought off her attacker and was able to make a getaway.
The girl had been outside the Figueroa Street Elementary School at around 3:30pm when the man suddenly came up to her and put his hand around her neck.
The teen put up a fight, hitting the man with her cell phone, and managed to break free and run away.
Speaking only in Spanish, the girl and her mother were interviewed by ABC7 News about the alarming incident. A local shop owner provided surveillance video which showed the attempted abduction.
Police are searching for the suspect.
