Here is a collection of stories happening across the country, displaying the state of the economy, the heartbeat of American culture, and the craziness of modern-day politics…
1) Kamala Harris says Trump picked JD Vance to be ‘rubber stamp’ for former president’s ‘extreme agenda’
From Fox News: Vice President Kamala Harris said in a newly released video that former President Trump selected Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, as his running mate to be a “rubber stamp” for the Republican White House hopeful’s “extreme agenda.”
This comes ahead of Vance’s acceptance speech on Wednesday at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Trump, now formally the Republican nominee for president, announced Vance as his pick for vice president on Monday.
Harris and Vance spoke by phone after Vance’s nomination in a brief and respectful conversation, Fox News’ Alexis McAdams reports, after Harris left a congratulatory voicemail.
Donald Trump has picked his new running mate: J.D. Vance.
He will be loyal only to Trump, not to our country.
If elected, he will help implement the extreme Project 2025 plan for a second Trump term. We’re not going to let that happen. pic.twitter.com/z4UKczVdbv

2) Elise Stefanik Blisters Biden In RNC Speech: ‘The Soul Of Our Very Nation’ Is On The Ballot
From Daily Wire: GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York blasted President Joe Biden’s record in short remarks at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday evening.
Stefanik, the chair of the House Republican Conference, emphasized the importance of November’s election as a battle for the “Constitution and the soul of our very nation.” She ripped Biden’s record from immigration, to the economy, to foreign affairs and national security.
“Under Joe Biden, the American people have suffered crisis after crisis. From the Biden border, the most wide-open border in our nation’s history, to Bidenflation, the highest rate of inflation in my lifetime, devastating hardworking families with skyrocketing prices for groceries, gas, and utilities,” Stefanik said.
“To Biden’s violent crime crisis fueled by Democrats’ pro-criminal sanctuary cities, and defund-the-police policies like we have seen in my home state of New York – all while corrupt Democrat prosecutors and judges wage illegal and unconstitutional lawfare against President Trump in an effort to do Joe Biden’s political bidding,” she continued.
President Trump will once again deliver the most secure border in our nation’s history and unleash the American economy, and he will bring peace through strength as Commander-in-chief standing with our allies and causing our enemies to fear us.

3) CNN confrontation on Biden’s decline
From Savannah Hernandez via X/Twitter: I just confronted the entire CNN team about why they only started reporting about the cognitive decline of Joe Biden last month when the entire nation could see it for years I asked them if they were told not to report on Biden’s mental state, they didn’t respond.

4) Ex-FBI informant Smirnov asks judge to follow Cannon’s lead and toss case
From Washington Examiner: Former FBI informant Alexander Smirnov asked a judge on Monday evening to toss his criminal case based on the surprise decision by a judge in Florida to dismiss former President Donald Trump’s classified documents case over the legality of a special counsel appointment.
Smirnov’s attorneys argued in a court filing that Judge Otis Wright should dismiss charges that Smirnov lied to the FBI because special counsel David Weiss, who is leading the prosecution, was allegedly unlawfully appointed.
“Mr. Smirnov respectfully asserts that the appointment of Mr. Weiss as Special Counsel in this case violates both the Appointments Clause and the Appropriations Clause of the United States Constitution,” the attorneys wrote.
They cited Judge Aileen Cannon’s decision to drop all 40 charges against Trump in Florida on Monday morning on the grounds that special counsel Jack Smith was unlawfully appointed.
5) With sewage gushing into sea, US and Mexican border towns plead for help
From Reuters: Each day, millions of gallons of sewage cascade through a canyon and into the Pacific Ocean just south of the U.S.-Mexican border. As any surfer in San Diego knows, summer swells that come from the south will push the toxic brew north.

6) Six American and Vietnamese guests found dead in Bangkok hotel were poisoned with cyanide after business feud
From New York Post: The six American and Vietnamese guests found dead at an upscale Bangkok hotel were killed with cyanide — with one of them believed to have poisoned the others over a bad investment, Thai police revealed Wednesday.
Traces of the rapid-acting chemical were uncovered during the autopsies and on drinking glasses and a teapot found inside a room at the five-star Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel where the bodies were discovered late Tuesday, cops said.
Relatives of the three women and three men told investigators there had been a dispute among the group about debt tied to an investment, Bangkok deputy police chief Noppasin Punsawat said.
A husband and wife who were among the dead had invested about $278,000 (10 million baht) with two of the others to build a hospital in Japan — and they may have been meeting at the hotel to settle the matter, he added.

8) Import Prices Come In Higher Than Expected, Hinting At More Inflation Ahead
From Breitbart: Inflation might not be cooling by as much as thought.
The Labor Department’s index of import prices excluding fuel jumped by 0.2 percent in June, partially reversing the 0.3 percent decline in May.
While imports are just a small part of the overall inflation picture, the rise in prices indicates strong demand from consumers that could translate into broader price increases.
9) Shane Gillis & Adam Ray presidential impersonations
From Collin Rugg via X/Twitter: Shane Gillis as Donald Trump and Adam Ray as Joe Biden appear on Tony Hinchcliffe’s comedy show. Some much-needed comedic relief after this hectic weekend. 10) Incredible new video shows uncontacted hunter-gatherer Mashco Piro tribe brandishing spears on banks of a river in Peruvian rainforest
From Daily Mail: Incredible new video shows an uncontacted hunter-gatherer tribe brandishing spears on the banks of a river in remote Peru – amid fears their rainforest home is being increasingly disrupted by logging.
The Mashco Piro tribe, believed to be the largest uncontacted tribe in the world, are seen standing on the dusty riverside in loincloths with hair long and bare feet chalky from the rough ground.
Rare video from across the river shows the group stood around in small clusters, some jogging to pick up large spears resting in the dirt. Others talk, gesture to each other and help carry objects along the river.
