JUST IN: Trump credits God for surviving assassination attempt

Former President Donald Trump was injured in an assassination attempt at a campaign rally yesterday in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump, who emerged with a bloodied face, reported being shot in the ear and described hearing a “whizzing sound” and feeling a “bullet ripping through skin.”

The FBI identified the shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, who was immediately killed by the Secret Service. The motive for the attack is still unknown. According to three senior law enforcement sources, the shots were fired from an elevated position outside the Secret Service’s security perimeter for the venue.

The Secret Service confirmed that a spectator was killed and two others were critically injured in the shooting, but did not provide further details about the victims.
