With his re-election campaign in chaos and a growing number of Democrats calling for him to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, Joe Biden held a press conference in Washington, D.C. Thursday evening, just as the NATO summit concluded.

The much-anticipated press conference – which was his first since November of last year – was considered a “high-stakes” event, with many speculating whether Biden could get through it without any gaffes.  He couldn’t.

After delivering his remarks, Biden opened the press conference up for questions from reporters.  Holding up a piece of paper, Biden admitted, “I’ve been given a list of people to call on.”

Right out of the gate, a reporter asked Biden about losing the support of many Democrats and key unions, and whether Vice President Kamala Harris is qualified to possibly replace him on the Democrat ticket.

GAFFE ALERT: “I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president if she wasn’t qualified,” Biden responded, mistakenly calling Harris “Trump.”

This just after he called Ukrainian President Zelenskyy “President Putin” earlier on Thursday.

Trump pounced on that one, posting a video clip on Truth Social, and writing, “Crooked Joe begins his “Big Boy” Press Conference with, “I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president, though I think she was not qualified to be president.” Great job, Joe!”

Biden falsely claimed that there were at least five incumbent presidents who ran for re-election who had lower approval numbers than he has now.

Another reporter called out Biden for mixing up President Zelenskyy and President Putin. Biden went ballistic, and stammered out a reply, making the whole issue even worse. WATCH THIS:

Another reporter asked Biden about the report that he needs to go to bed earlier. He claimed he just needs to “pace myself a little more.”

Biden touted his busy schedule, and said fundraisers should be started at 8:00 pm instead of 9:00 pm.

He claimed that all Trump is doing is riding on his golf cart filling out his score card, while he (Biden) has been to at least 20 major event, some with ‘thousands’ of people showing up.

Biden said his staff has a habit of “adding things” and said, “I’m catching hell from my wife.”
