Ecclesiastes 5:10

Whoever loves money never has enough;
whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.
This too is meaningless.

[New International Version]

This verse warns against the insatiable nature of greed.

It suggests that those who obsess over money will never feel fulfilled, as wealth cannot provide lasting satisfaction. The verse implies that material wealth is ultimately futile and cannot bring true contentment.

It aligns with the broader theme of valuable pursuits in the face of life’s impermanence. True fulfillment, the verse suggests, comes from something beyond money—such as wisdom, purpose, or spiritual well-being.
